Lobelia angulata
(aka: Pratia angulata) We have really enjoyed this wonderful semi-evergreen groundcover lobelia from New Zealand in our garden for decades. The zig-zag black stems are clothed with tiny round leaves forming a nice 1" tall, ground-hugging mat. The patch is topped with small white flowers from late spring through early summer...great for the rock garden and very tolerant of moist conditions in full to part sun, where it's tolerant of light foot traffic among stepping stones. Below 15F the foliage becomes deciduous.
