
Agave garciaemendozae Valle de los Fantasmas form
This new species from Central Mexico, described in 2002, is named in honor of Mexican botanist Abisai Garcia-Mendoza. Agave garciae-mendozae is reportedly similar to Agave horrida ssp. perotensis, forming a dark green 2' wide rosette adorned with small reddish spines. Our supply of plants comes from seed from the Valle de los Fantasmas area of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Supplies are limited as we are growing a few for trial and offering the rest to our customers.
